SOCAL Spring League 2026

Structured spring competition for U5–U13 boys' and girls’ teams.

A development-focused spring pathway aligned with the August 1 – July 31 seasonal age cycle.

About the SOCAL Spring League

The SOCAL Spring League is a SOCAL-operated seasonal league circuit designed to support player development and club planning during the spring months.

Built specifically for younger age groups, the Spring League provides balanced competition, regionalized scheduling, and consistent league standards—allowing players to continue developing while teams prepare for the upcoming season.

Competition begins following the conclusion of State Cup, creating a seamless transition into spring play within a familiar SOCAL structure.

A Purpose-Built Spring Environment

Balanced Competition

An 8-game spring season offered across multiple levels of play to support appropriate competitive matchups.

Regionalized Scheduling

Teams compete within their immediate or neighboring regions to reduce travel while maintaining competition quality.

Seasonal

Alignment

Designed to support roster transitions under the August 1 – July 31 age cycle.

SOCAL

Standards

Consistent administration, player protection, and league oversight across all regions.

Levels of Play

The SOCAL Spring League offers competition across multiple levels to ensure teams are placed in developmentally appropriate environments. â€‹Pre-NPL (U10–U12)*, Flight 1, Flight 2, Flight 3

Pre-NPL (U10–U12)

New for the 2026 season, the Pre-NPL Spring Division provides an advanced competitive option for U10–U12 boys’ and girls’ teams.

This open geography division, administered directly by SOCAL, is designed for teams seeking a higher competitive environment as part of their long-term development pathway.

The division supports:

  • Top Flight 1 teams in smaller geographic areas

  • Teams that previously participated in Pre-NPL

  • Teams preparing for potential Pre-NPL participation in the upcoming fall season

Teams that apply but are not accepted into the Pre-NPL Spring Division will be placed into their appropriate regional Flight 1 Spring League, ensuring continued competitive play.
